im just saying that i believe there is more to the story that we dont know.

if i had to guess, i would say that he is(as you say) a lazy shit and physically didn't want to bother with it anymore. but i will always wonder what exactly took place.

the voat community deserved better than a short notice and silent memorial.

>he voat community deserved better than a short notice and silent memorial.

Yep. That story made no fucking sense. He's broke but paid the bills without mentioning it since may? Then gave everyone 4 days to pack up and leave? Either something terrible happened that he isn't talking about, or he's a piece of shit. I asked him about it multiple times. I'm far more ok with voat shutting down than I am with no realistic explanation.

March, not May he lost his “angel” and decided to pay and keep it open until the election. Which was the first week of November and he waited until the last week of December with 4 days notice.

The story makes no sense.

Thank you for the correction. Even less realistic.

yea ive heard different estimates on what it costs to run it. some say as much as 11000 per month other say around 6000.

but if it was 6k that means be paid around 60,000 from march until now. without so much as a notice. we could have crowd sourced that cash in a matter of weeks. by way or merc....subs...donations... what ever.

there is no logic behind that narrative. because as you say, a man that is not overly wealthy is just not going to do that. it is completely implausible.

Yup makes no sense.

The story makes no sense.

He paid between $60,000 and $110,000 out of pocket? No way.

He also basically stated the people wanting to buy it as a group that it would be too much money a month to run even as a group and would be irresponsible or something to let them do it. His post was on here about it the other day.

Yep. It's pretty disrespectful to offer such a flimsy explanation.
