I have 3 sons and , when faced with that decision, I chose not to have this done to them because It didn't feel like that decision belonged to me. I felt it was a decision that I should not have to make. Their bodies should be unmolested and I didn't see the real value in it. So far no problems with it. I think it is an unnecessary medical procedure.
