Does this make that news any less true?
A mentally ill man who thinks he's a woman wins female cycling world championship.
Didn't say that. IMO, they are a step above JYT and WaComPost. At least RT is publically stated as a propaganda outlet of the Russian Govt. whereas the others still pretend to not be the same for one of our political parties. Propaganda is not always "in your face" articles of support for their views. For propaganda to be effective they must also appeal to the listener as a somewhat "trustworthy" source to be accepted in other areas, ala clickbait and innocuous articles of general interest and somewhat factual articles.
In the U.S., the JYT and WaCompost (and several conservative sites) are more familiar to us and are known for their agendas. RT is a direct outlet for the Russian Govt and should be viewed as a historical source of theirs.
I would never propose censorship of anyone posting them, and am curious when anyone is bothered by the facts concerning their source. But pointing out that source is something to be considered. It's up to each one of us to vet their own sources and beliefs.
I like your reply and it gave me an idea.
Would you be willing to build a list of all the MSM outlets (U.S. and foreign based) with a description of their political orientation?
We could use as well /s/fakenews that could serve as a place to call out biased articles.
That wouldn't be a reliable list for anyone but myself. I have no right to tell anyone what sources are "worthy" of trust. Maybe you could, as I just noticed another post of yours that you felt needed to be archived instead of directly linked (https://poal.co/s/Politics/22267). I realise there may a very good reason why other than not wanting to give views to them. As I said, it's up to each of us to vet our own sources and who we allow to influence our views. Isn't that pretty much the basis of Free Speech that we value?
