I think that nyherald site is not legit; can't find anything corroborating the story, no other references to the author, they spell "Science" as "Sciens", the WHOIS says it was registered 2 days ago.

And here i thought something good happened for once. They even used a long defunct newspaper name:

Just think, back not 10 years ago no one would have ever questioned if a newspaper story was accurate, yet today it is easy to dig into each story and poke around for holes.
