Said as though there was any kind of popular vote about it. The government hacks created a massive problem by shutting down society, then took the stolen taxpayer money to fix the problem, and made it seem like they were doing us all a favor by giving some of it back to us; and giving a shitload more to special interests.
If they give citizens back $1,200 a month for 2 months, at 330M population size, that's $792B. The stimulus package was $2T, so the other $1.2T is going to whom exactly?
330M people except those that are dependents on their parents taxes, those on welfare or owe alimony/child support, so make that 260M, which is around the $300bn mark, that's still $1.7T going fuck knows where.
Good call on the adjustment, I forgot that not everyone will get one of those relief checks. Now I'm even more pissed off.
