I can't speak for Canada (even though I posted a Canadian article) but I do have a suggestion for the US:
We could get rid of illegals in a month - if we wanted to. Problem is, nobody wants to.
Hispanics don't want their brothers to leave. Consumers don't want higher prices for food and services. Investors don't want increased labor costs.
BUT, there is a solution:
Enforce E-Verify and eliminate birthright citizenship (or make it restricted jus soli). Do those two things and we wouldn't even need a wall - the illegals would deport themselves.
OK now what? What about the cheap labor?
Use prison labor (perfectly legal under the 13th Amendment) and vagrants to do the work the illegals are doing now.
How?
Offer the vagrants three choices: Stop being homeless OR accept room and board in return for sobriety and WORK (via job shops) OR get arrested and be put to work. The couple of percent who truly are too ill to work, we will take care of (after we've concluded they have no assets or income). The job shops partition out work the illegals are doing now: picking crops, processing chicken, sorting recyclables, cleaning buses, repairing hiking trails, picking up trash, etc. The employers pay back the government to offset the cost of the room and board or incarceration. There are no other solutions. Get tough or accept vagrancy.This is bullet proof. Win Win Win Win Win. If you have a better solution, provide it.
I like a lot of these options. I have come to the realization that the government people know this all too well but have already signed on to replace the population that is there for a small amount of gold for themselves.
I don't have a better solution other than things one could never discuss in places like this.
I've personally taken drastic life steps to unplug from banks, my job and such so that I'm not funding the subversion or paying the government to bring more immigrants in, but now our government has decided to go into debt to bring in 2.2million (of a population of 37 million) this next year mostly from Somalia. I viscerally no longer support any business that hires immigrants, or does this trans shit. I have a garden and built a nice big fence to keep the steady stream of feral 60 IQ homeless out of our yard and now keep the pets inside. All of my neighbors are worried about "climate change" and donate to the immigrant shelters because "diversity is our strength."
I am now an island, waiting for others to wake up and force the government to stop trying to kill us rather than facilitate them in order to "be nice". My neighbors all think I'm crazy because I don't think communism will work. I live in a more "conservative" part of Canada.
When they do wake, I agree your solutions will work.
In the meantime, all I can say is to not give up your guns. :)
I think what I wrote is not only effective, efficient, and fiscally sound, but it is also ethical, moral, humane, and civilized. Not only does it keep illegals out but it helps get our folks back on their feet.
I agree on all fronts of what you say. It's immoral to draw them here or even let them in as we're stealing victory from them by coaxing from their own fights in their own lands. The whole immigration thing appears to be some kind of mafia run human trafficking.
