Forced? Maybe in some cases, but it sounds like they're talking about women who entered a consensual relationship under their own volition. You had a religious ceremony but didn't sign a legal contract? Why should that be a legal issue? If you have certain values and want to be treated a certain way, don't get into a relationship with someone doesn't share your values or doesn't treat you the way you want to be treated. There might be some victims here, but for the most part it looks like they're victims of their own stupidity.
