Barry Krischer served as an assistant district attorney in Kings County, New York, from 1970 to 1973, and joined the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office upon his relocation to Florida. While in private practice, he served as the attorney for the Palm Beach County Child Protection Team, and was of-counsel to the P.B.A. He successfully ran for state attorney in 1992 and 1996, and was unopposed in 2000 and 2004. Krischer retired from elective office in 2009.
