I can't help but think that is probably a losing strategy. The libs will just BurnLootMurder the store until it closes.

From the post: Hobby Lobby is setting up shop in one of the most liberal corners of New York City. Locals aren’t exactly rolling out the welcome mat. The arts-and-crafts retailer, known for its deep discounts and its conservative Christian politics, is opening its first Manhattan location this spring in TriBeCa. It's a big shift for the company. Many of its 1,000 stores are in America's deep south and rural communities. But the store, known for selling everything from yarn and faux-flowers to home decor with bible verses, will open a 70,000-square-foot store a quick walk away from the Freedom Tower. The TriBeCa neighborhood is a liberal stronghold. Multiple residents told the New York Times they weren't happy to see the retailer come to their neighborhood.

They'll close stores in rural areas, where they are profitable,(and appreciated) but then open a store in FuckNewYork.

Are they? I couldn't find this and neither could Grok.

There’s no recent, definitive evidence that Hobby Lobby has closed any stores. In fact, recent reports indicate the opposite—Hobby Lobby is expanding, with new stores opening in places like Manhattan, San Jose, and Seguin, Texas, among others. For example, a New York Times article from April 2025 mentioned a new 75,000-square-foot store in Tribeca, and other sources noted openings in Delaware and New Jersey.

I may have confused JoAnnes with HL. It is sad to read a jew yorker say:" I moved to get away from that", regarding HL having a Christian stance. The 《google》news has several articles regarding "major chains" filing bankrupcies, even though it appears some are indeed profitable. I'm glad HL is not in the mix.

Yeah I think Joanns went bankrupt. If anything that is more market share for HL.

The very good people of the lefty persuasion just can't not make everything a political issue.
