Actually, you make a very good point here.

Also, what the fuck are they saying about the "methane release in landfills". Right, so it will just be released in composting facilities instead? Unless they have a collection system to compress it for other use or to burn it I don't see the difference.

If they had any brains, it would be collected and used to heat homes, generate energy or anything else a bit of combustion is good for.

Why give up on "free gas". Burn that and turn it into energy, even on a micro scale. Why not?
