they are demoralized. they don't how awful communism is, and think that it will be "socialist utopia". but, in addition to being demoralized by communist subversion, they need to be told what to think and do. it doesn't make sense. i would say that they are afraid of independence. also, they are competitive, but lack ability. they support communism as a way to sabotage people who they can't compete with.
and, the thing is: there are millions of those people in the USA; possibly, the majority of liberals. they won't support freedom, because independence and competition are required. communism is unnatural. there's togetherness, co-operation, and sharing in nature. but there's independence and competition, too. and there's no way around it.
