I remember driving through illinois myself.

There were pay tolls everywhere as well as an incredible amount of security cameras and such. I was in the north east though so maybe they are just way more common up there.

Illinois seemed like a very heavily taxed state from that alone. This was back in 2010 time frame though to as well.


Hitting these every so often. 10-20 miles alone.

They are a pain to deal with and I was just driving through the state myself.
