We just print magic money out of thin air?

[–] 2 pts

Do not question the mugbacks they are a solid currency sir.

Worked once, gotta work again

@Ivan I'm going to need you to print another 100 mugbacks to keep FBInigger silent on the issues here.

I keep saying this, but they said me it's something complicated about economics, future wealth generation capacity, projections, scenarios, statistics and whatever. I think they're fooling me, IDK.

We do not print money out of thin air. The value of the Mugback is based on the backing of our esteemed institution and the people's trust in that. Unfortunately fraudulent court orders are more common than valid ones, as the justices of /s/courtofmug have never actually convened on anything ever.

But say, a rogue /s/ need some mugbacks?

You could (theoretically) fund them with your mugbucks, eventually everyone would want some of your mugbucks.

Before you know it, your mugbucks ARE what we all AGREE they are worth.

Cool!

Exactly! Let us know if you ever need funding for a glow-in-the-dark project.

Please provide a link to the court judgement that's supported by a majority opinion of the justices. If you have any further questions please address them to our head of legal.

P.S. The bank would most likely honor a request to pay mugbacks, but would probably appeal any order to print Mugbacks, as maintaining the 1:1 Mugback to Mug value ratio is of prime importance to us.

There are only 8 mugs and there are now 500k mugbacks you went off the mug standard ages ago and everyone knows it.

Irrelevant. Going off the Mug standard vastly increased the value of Mugbacks by allowing us to borrow more against ourselves and boost the velocity of Mugback transfers. That's what compelled us to print more Mugbacks. If we didn't do this to balance out the values, your Mugs would be worth just a fraction of a Mugbacks' value.

So it should be no problem to comply with the courts orders.
