Well, yep. Looks like Wawhite pulled it off and has earned winnings of 20 Mugbacks from the 1st Bank of Mug. I imagine many lenders will be collecting debts from loans made during the rush, so a lot of other people will be getting rich too.

Growing, even frantic interest in the Mugback has led me to the realization that one man can't do it alone, so several hires are pending. These hires coincide with new directions the 1st Bank of Mug will be taking in the near future.
Firstly, we realized that there is no need for a so-called 'backing' to the currency itself. It's not even clear that physical mugs have the buying power to make them equivalent to real digital currency anyway, so we are exploring a restructuring of the currency system itself. will be in charge of this new development as.... idk... Chief Economist? We are paying him a one-time lump sum payment of 19 Mugbacks. It's come to my attention that the bank's funds are getting kind of low, so hopefully this change will create LOTS OF NEW WEALTH for the banks coffers to distribute.
