What trips me out are the buildings that have entire floors buried under street level
Well, consider there are entire buildings built under street level too. I used to work in one. It was an electric power grid command center that was designed to withstand damned near anything that could come its way. It was kind of cool, but not having any windows anywhere and working in the dark made it hard to tell what time of day it was. I always felt like it was nighttime and would be a little put-off when I'd emerge into daylight when the work day was done.
No these are different. People dig around what they thought was a basement and find a front door and shit down there
Tartaria and Mudfloods
Ooooooh, my favorite conspiracy theory. Mud flood! I love the mud flood. It's so baroque and ornate. Those who hold this theory assure us that our ancestors were too stupid to build these buildings we see today. Yet, oddly enough, they believe that some other race of people was able to build these buildings. I guess they think we poor Christian white people just don't have the skills of some Mongoloid race of horse-piss drinkers on the steppes of Eastern Europe. They may live in yurts today, but a few centuries ago, damn could they build. And then, somehow, they got wiped out by mud? Which only rose halfway up their basement windows? Hmmmm.
I don't think that it's necessarily some other race. For instance, Greco-Roman civilization would be mostly or entirely European.
Mudflows might not have been limited to Tartaria, but a world-wide phenomenon.
I think the Mud Flow sub should be for mud flows and large parts of deleted history that are little known about.
