Agreed. But one thing about John Hughes of note is he worked with a LOT of child and teen stars. He's also been dead for over 20 years now. No one has ever accused him of bad shit.

Odd? Yes. But given the content of many of the films he directed, it makes sense. It could be argued that many of the brat pack shared similar muse status, given that several returned for more than one film.
