Correct, and your common sense understanding of such a simple concept is an example of why I appreciate this site. I said something similar in another post about this exact subject: I’ve always taken issue with the descriptor “homophobia” as it implies fear is the motivating factor while completely ignoring the more obvious and simple culprit: disgust. I think fags are gross for the same reason I think poop is gross. When I take a shit, I don’t immediately run away from the toilet in terror of my excrement…because I’m not “afraid” of the shit..I don’t want to play with it or otherwise treat it like play dough or sculpting clay simply because I’m disgusted by it. Fags are trying to essentially make the argument that because I don’t want to play with shit, I must be “afraid” of it.
