Of course they were. Jews stole the video equipment made buy the inventors (edit: Thomas Edison) in the New York and Boston (I believe) area.

The original inventors (edit: Thomas Edison) were making movies, and the Jews were making smut with them. The inventors (edit: Thomas Edison) sued to keep the Jews from making it and won, so they stole the equipment, ran to the other side of the country, which was too far away at the time to be able to have the law reach then, and they started making more smut.

They were also more opportunistic than the original inventors (edit: Thomas Edison) so the non-porn movies ended up doing better, and they ultimately won in the court of public opinion.

And that’s how Hollywood started.

Man I remember seeing a skit on TV discussing it a long time ago, back then I wasn't even aware about the JQ at all. And of course they all talked about how they escaped the "unjustified oppression for no reason at all" to "preserve their creative liberty".
