It definitely doesn't bode well. It's times like these that I'm kind of glad I don't have a wife and kids. I'd actually have more skin in the game and find myself more motivated to be actively engaged, but beyond raising an alarm I'm just not. Part of me is concerned that much of our current military hardware is semi-autonomous right now and our personnel are being over-extended. It's only a matter of time until the short sighted decisions of the educated professional segment of the population creates a situation where we're forced to make it fully autonomous. I just hope it happens before the next war, because we are screwed as this progresses.
