EV's cannot practically tow or carry a lot of payload. The batteries do not have enough energy density. You might as well buy a Toyota Prius or Nissan Leaf.

EVs may be useful in a small location with reliable sources, like a factory, work site, or something, however I'd agree that they shouldn't be used for long-haul unless you have a good transmission network for constant power like in trains.
