BigPharma/ClubMed scam. They want you to see a doctor to first eliminate surgical solutions, then go to an audiologist to fit and tune them. I've heard of people paying in excess of $5000 for hearing aides. Now they will be well under $500.

I personally know people who have paid over $15k for hearings aids. I never knew they were prescription.

$15K, I hope that was for a pair! Ridiculous rip off.

Yes, it was for a pair, a custom ear mold for each ear and various tests/services which come along with it. But at the time, I thought it insane. I still do. Insane pricing on these.
