In the 70s corps learned they could pay and treat employees like shit and they'd take it. Massive inflation and the destruction of the nuclear family thanks to the pill, feminism, and no fault divorce did a lot to permit this. In the 80s you saw both the mother and the father having to work in order to survive.

That's something a few have pointed out - how the government put the fear of cohen into everyone and businesses threw people out the door because muh fears.

Now those same people don't want to go back to those same jobs because they're pissed or they're scared. I guess it worked to well, yeah?
