Seems legit. Sounds like the guy is well in charge of his finances. I can see how this would be irritating, but it's not like he's "wrong" for doing it. Clearly she wasn't taking the initiative on her own to pay her half. Otherwise it probably would have never came to that in the first place.

Ya, that's my gut. Maybe he's an OCD asshole, but most likely he was always paying for stuff, it became an issue so he started tracking it as a fair way to get reimbursed.
