For one, because I asked a simple question and being the typical fucking woman you are you just completely ignore the question.
Two, because Valentine's Day is just another bullshit holiday that couldn't fucking matter less. Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are the only ones that really matter on a grand scale. Muh luv holiday is consumerist bullshit to fill the gap.
forget the consumerist nature of it.. forget the gift giving..all of that stuff. Forget what they've turned it into. Its basically a sort of agreed upon day where couples can celebrate their love and maybe for single people to take that step to maybe find love...at the very basic level its a celebration of love and love is definitely something worth being celebrated.
Yes there is birthdays and anniversaries. Your simple question bit though...honestly thought you were joking n didn't mean to offend you sorry. To be old enough and knowledgeable to get grumpy about consumerism yet you somehow don't know what february 14th means?
i hope one day you find it within your heart to celebrate love without all the negative consumerism stuff, the same way its good to avoid the same consumerist stuff that Christmas brings.
