Cloud was 5 years ago. You have a notebook right just keep your data there and Time Machine it.

Why? You can plug external everything into a notebook and then have flexibility to travel.

Well some aren’t supported because they use smb1.0 which is old and insecure, and you have e to go wiggle some switches in the NAS interface to enable Time Machine, you can’t just see it as a network drive and make it work, it’s more complicated, but when it would sit is amazing.

Yeah not gonna work. Go buy two usb 4tb drives and set them up for Time Machine. Keep one plugged in and one in the safe. Rotate weekly or monthly.
