If you use a PC with Microsoft shit on it (and a lot of us simply have to go that direction for one reason or other), immediately and entirely disable OneDrive.
And any time that shit updates, check to make sure it's still disabled.
And make sure that when you download and save files (as you properly should be), you save it off to an EXTERNAL and separate drive.
That doesn't make things entirely secure, but it helps.
And then, when you finally can, switch to a different OS. Not crApple - that shit has gone bad too. Yes, to one of the open source OS offerings out there.
But RIGHT NOW, if you haven't disabled OneDrive, go DO IT RIGHT NOW. Make sure you copy any files from OneDrive to your separate drive and confirm the existence of the files.
If you have trouble disabling and deleting OneDrive, check the internet for instructions. It's easy.
My one drive is sitting on the table.
