Same, brother, same. My work computers are all Windows 10 bullshit and most of my colleagues were locked out, but lucky me was able to get in and hold the fort.
home PCs that matter are linux, but the gaming and kids are Windows 10.
By the way, fellow linux user, is there a distro that has child protection sort of filters/setup without having to massively customize the OS? Looking for parental controls and monitoring. If not, no worries, I need to get something going though.
I'm sure there are some apps that can be installed to do that. You'd need to check, as that was never something on my radar so I am not sure.
Quick search finds these https://dekisoft.com/linux-parental-control-software/
Nice, thanks - yeah I was taking a shot maybe hoping you had to do similar. I'll do some research and maybe post a write up about it.
Regardless of what "privacy" those apps might need to tap, it'll be WAY less intrusive than Windows. And proton can run basically everything now, minus shit with anticheat garbage. No reason to stay on it anymore.
