I'm really starting to wonder if Voat is now an Alphabet company. It seems that the changes being abrupt and major might be because of a powerful hand from a powerful company is pulling the strings. The angel investor might be an Alphabet big wig instead of the main company to keep it off the radar. Putt did say we piss of some powerful people, but he never said they were government people. Maybe it's not Alphabet but it could be some other tech giant. I think they found Putt's price. Does this seem plausible?

I 100% believe it's him and that what we are witnessing is the unadulterated 'fuck it, I'm not going to sweeten what I say anymore' him.

If you read his earlier announcement posts you see the similarities in manner of tech speak and format.

The only difference now is that he's speaking more emotionally. And I think it's because he's set financially now thanks to the angel, is free of some of the burden to carry the site by himself, and he's allowing his resentment of his critics to show through.

I observed how he acted during spats with users over the last couple of years. It struck me how petty he was during those interactions and I turned sour on him. He's not acting any differently now. Others are finally seeing what I observed a while ago.

I have a hard time claiming 100% certainty of anything; but yeah, I'd say it's a lot more likely that we're seeing another side of Putt than that the CIA big wigs went "mua ha ha! It's now time to execute our fiendish plan to replace Putt with our imposture!".
