Probably real, people will absolutely forget about the call to defund the police, when the recession crimes really get going. Hind and foresight elude the cattle.

Could be the article is planting seeds for the next “summer of mostly peaceful protest” topic. Can’t imagine there won’t be a call for some kind of distraction protest for the election run up.
