And if you ran the various federal departments and NGOs in charge of measuring and predicting public trends, such as the civil war narrative (which they claim to be pushing, but are actually terrified of)--or if you had your finger to the pulse of the nation, you'd understand just how quickly everything could turn given the current tensions. This is them, the DoD and intelligence agencies, scared they might actually end up in a situation 18-24 months from now, where they lose control. They intend to put trump back in to quell the public, but before they can do that they need public sentiment back on the mass platforms, where they can take it down a notch, and get people on the hopium again. Won't work, but it *will* crack consensus/support for some kind of militant balkanization/separatist movement, and thats the best the DoD can hope for. This is them trying to walk back the clock from the CIA's color-revolution tactics circa 2008-2022, because they realized they massively overreached and created a small amount of systems-level risk (not even a hint of which can be tolerated or left to chance).
