If I remember right from when this story first came out, she didn't really have anything big to do with it. They just wanted to push the whole "women in STEM" thing
Someone went through the development log for the project and found her role in the project to be akin to "thematic UI design" - meaning she determined the color scheme and MAYBE how buttons would look.
The cuck male programmer who committed most of the development came out to virtue signal/white knight for her on social media when people were rolling their eyes.
Don't you just love how she didn't hesitate at the chance to soak up all that fleeting internet fame instead of pointing the finger towards the devs who actually grinding countless hours on the project?
Anyways, black women invented nasa.
I remember that. It wasn't even overall UI design, she changed font colors and sizes. That was about it.
That's the coding equivalent of making your periods 14pt when your english paper requires 12pt.
She was the UI designer for the program. Some nerdy white dude wrote 95% of the functional code.
This was the case, it would be like a slave being congratulated for their master's accomplishments based on having helped to wash the master's clothes or some such.
