Spike protein isn't dangerous on it's own. The problem is that people who suffered from covid have a lot less antibodies against apike protein than the vaccinated, which means they have higher chances of getting infected again, and if they6get infected with a different mutation, they'll get sick again, and suffer probably even more since their body is weakened by the first infection.
