Just like a commie faggot ran shit-hole to do something like that. Oh well, I have not used that place in years and only know about shit when I see it posted somewhere else.

From the post:

>If you visit reddit.com on your iPhone today, you may see a new popup that can't be dismissed, asking you to "get the app to keep using Reddit." A Reddit spokesperson told Ars Technica that it was "a test for a small subset of frequent logged-out mobile users that prompts them to download the app after visiting the site." They continued: "These users are already familiar with Reddit and we've seen that the experience is much better for them in the app. The app offers a more personalized experience and users can more easily find communities that match their interests." Users have since taken to subreddits like r/bugs and r/help to voice their displeasure at being blocked out of the website on mobile. "Are my days of anonymously browsing over?" asked one user.

I refuse to use sites that push their shitty apps.

Does old.Reddit still work?

[–] 1 pt

It does. Literally the only way to even look at the site. The standard version is turbo aids.

Apparently it works for archive links so it must. I have seen some posts on hacker news that link to the old site.

As of September 2026 jewgle android is locking down the ability to sideload unsigned apks thus forcing the "walled garden" effect.

They will allow some ridiculous fuck around with adb and shit but it's typical jew authoritarianism just like this reddit shit is.

Maybe something like Revanced can be a work around.

If the whole unsigned apk thing doesn't just torpedo ReVanced completely. I hope not.

That's the worry; I use Newpipe and Piped exclusively for jewtube vids. jews want that sweet sweet goyim money and if locking down the OS is worth it, they're doing it.

I'm looking into alternate phones without google environs. I use adb all the time but I'm sure they'll screw that over somehow.

Almost like yelp which is almost unusable on mobile browser.
