I can't find the greentext about this but some anon went to India (or somewhere, doesn't matter) and had an Indian cabbie. Started talking and brought up how in India the belief (EVERYONE HAS IT) is that lighter skin = smarter and darker skin = dumber. Asks the cabbie about it then goes "So what you're saying is that because my skin is lighter than yours, you're more stupid than me?". jeet actually replied correctly "Yes.".

Its all over asia to whitening cream, only using fair skinned actors, depicting standard people as white in anime etc they all understand and worship white blue eyed blonde people its the diamond in the rough.

Why Reddit can not be trusted.

In November 2016, Reddit CEO Steve Huffman (/u/spez) (old.reddit.com) edited comments of users criticizing him. (theverge.com)

Putting words into user's mouths, which means making them appear like they wrote something they never actually did, especially on sensitive posts, is one of the greatest violations of user trust possible.

Although shortly after he applogized and promised never to do it again, it clearly gives away how Reddit tends to handle criticism.
