Everyone needs to start asking airlines who made the plane that will be used on the flight being booked and say "If it's Boeing, I'm not going".
I just remembered something from over 30 years ago (probably over 35 years ago) in a Mad Magazine. It was something along the lines of "How companies got their names" there was a picture of an airplane, an engine fell off and bounced off the ground and the sound effect was Boe-ing.
