Christmas is now about a fat old dude with communist slave elves who gives people whatever they want for free. Saint Nicholas was a real person but is barely referenced. Most basic Christmas traditions come from Nordic practices of Yule.

In 4th grade I tried to tell my classmates that there really was a Saint Nick, and I just got laughed at for "believing in Santa". Most important thing that school teaches: everyone else is fucking stupid.
My Dutch Opa used to dress up as Saint Nicholas so i learned about him, my family never talked about santa, first time i heard about him was some smug shitstain when i was a kid telling me he doesnt exist and that anyone who believes him is dumb. I was glad because his name sounded scary, as a kid it sounded like 'satan claws' lmao.
