They don't hide it but they sure aren't open about it. Notice how you don't address AGAIN them hiding who they ban and the content they delete all while claiming to be an open free speech platform. There is a reason phuks has seen zero organic growth in two years and that is the lying manipulative people who run it. And again, they helped establish this place to keep their safe place free of trouble. It isn't altruism when you do something to keep your echo chamber safe. Nice to see you stand up for something at least though.
I hate to get involved in something like this, but at this point I should probably at least put in my 2 cents for whatever it is worth. Phuks never claimed to be a free speech platform as far as I am aware. I think personally there is room for both sites on the net and there doesn't need to be any problem between the sites. They have their vision for what their site should be and we have ours. I have never been shy about admitting I appreciate all the help I got from mostly Polsaker and Pembo for the help in setting this site up. They were immensely helpful and I don't think it would have happened without them. The admins on phuks have the right to run their site however they want, just like I as the owner can run this one how I see fit. There doesn't need to be hard feelings if we can avoid them. I'll openly admit I've seen some things in their logs I would not allow here, but its their site and they should be able to run it how they choose. So don't be too hard on those guys I think most of them have good hearts and want to do good, if that wasn't true they would not have helped me get this site going. Another mention should be E-werd he helped too even though he didn't have answers all the time he tried. In closing we shouldn't downplay what those guys did to help get this place running. What I'm really saying at the end of the day is we should let the market decide, their site will get users who value the type of environment they want to create and this one will get the type that like our environment. It doesn't have to be a competition, hell there is a good amount of overlap as it is. So again I'll say I think there is plenty of room on the internet for both sites. I get you being upset at their actions as moderators and admins, but if you were over there and got the type of treatment you did, well thats just how they want to run things. We do things differently here. I'm rambling at this point but I think I have explained my thoughts on the subject at least decently well. I would like to state for the record I like phuks I go there sometimes I don't often participate for a few reasons one being I don't know what I can and cannot say. So I limit what I say to trying to contribute to throat in what limited ways I can.
My intent was not to stir up drama but to clarify why poal can use racial slurs and phuks can't as I assumed you were on the same host they are on. They aren't bad people and if you want to tip toe on egg shells and only talk about safe subjects it is a pretty good site. Frankly they aren't worth the time for drama just went there on a lark and saw their top post was clearly lying and thought i'd get clarity, probably could have been done better.
