Reminded me of dialup watching this image load.
I’ve seen this before. And it always intrigues me and then upsets me.
First, it’s wrong. Like really wrong. Like “I have no idea how this data was even imagined” wrong.
Second, as a data and analytics professional it pisses me off that the colors of the dots in the legend and data don’t match the areas to which they correspond.
I need to re-make this.
Go ahead. This is not my creation.
Kolache’s in Houston? Wrong. They were from German settlers most of which didn’t settle Houston. They moved farther west mostly along the terrain of hills. Up and down 81, 281, 183 (parts now i35).
I did not make this map so you could be correct for all I know.
I’ll shut up. Even though the map is not perfect. The listing of cooking types and food types is cool.
And where are bananas and rice? In the Somali havens?
