Keep moving or they’ll throw dirt on you.

I could eat every one of those lobsters! 😋

I try to stop at 3 so I don't look like a glutton, but sometimes I can't!

Mmm!!! Lobster dipped in hot butter. I'll have to pick some up this week.

Lucky you're in a place privy to procuring them fresh from the ocean.

Not so easy to get around here anymore. Our grocery store got rid of their lobster tank decades ago. Most places, live lobsters are special order.

When we would vacation up in New England, we would eat lobster till it was coming out our ears. Cheap and plentiful. Good eats, good times!

There are packing companies that air ship fresh lobster but they command quite a premium over the price at the wharf.

Years ago when I had a Sam's Club membership I noticed Sam's offered boxed previously cooked frozen lobsters for about $5 each (1lb lobsters) ... that was at least 25 years ago.

My grandparents used to throw a Lobster Fest at their grocery store. Grampa would be so sick of lobster by the end of it, he would bring lobsters home from the store for everyone to have and say "no thank you I ate enough lobster".

I've had moments like that. Too much of a good thing!

despite living close to the ocean I dont know if I trust anything coming out of the ocean where Im at

I like Maine lobster.

You may already know this but lobster used to be considered trash fish in Maine. The State penitentiary used to feed them to the inmates many times a week 100+ years ago.

I'm surprised actually, it has a good quality as long as it's from the temperate ocean temperatures.

Canadian lobster is a whole other story. Roughly the same geological location bit completely different.

Lobsters crawl on the sea floor, eat the dead fish refuse that they come across. Back then people were more religious and all about eating fish with fins and scales that were considered clean and can be eaten (bible reference), not "dirty" bottom dwelling crustaceans.

Canadian Lobster and Maine Lobster are essentially the same. The lobster trapping waters are adjacent. The lobsters from southern and pacific waters don't have claws, usually only the tail is eaten (and does not taste as sweet as their cold water Maine/Canadian cousins).

Yeah but did they serve them up with butter or fucking grind the whole thing into a paste?

I don't know about the hot butter, probably not. No, they didn't grind them up, they were freshly steamed and still in the shell. Let the hungry inmates tear them apart if they want to eat any meat.
