No one is saying give up basketball. No one is saying stop watching basketball. It's the KIND of basketball we want you to stop watching (and for some obsessing over) which is professional basketball. I don't think anyone cares about college either. It's grown men , making 30 fucking million dollars a year...on this game, preaching about morality and ethics . The couldn't be more tone deaf and they prey on the very people they hope to fleece. (owners too). Play as much basketball as you want, it's a great way to stay in shape and keep in touch with some buddies. You'll never hear anyone on any side say stop playing /excersizing. Don't feel guilty 1 iota over that.
