I live in Louisiana in the cold months. My area has 10.75% sales tax.
In warm months, I live in a northern state with no sales tax.
When I drive south for the winter, I have all the supplies and items I will need for the next six months... except food. I save a shitload doing this. Coffee, detergent, car supplies.....
I make all major purchases, if possible, in the northern state.
A 10.5 sales tax is just too much. So I shop around.
