Never saw this coming.

Taxes are never temporary. Taxes never go down. Same for road tolls. I've lived through many road tolls that were only sold on the idea of paying for a single project. The tolls never go away.

Shocker (youtube.com)

I live in Louisiana in the cold months. My area has 10.75% sales tax.

In warm months, I live in a northern state with no sales tax.

When I drive south for the winter, I have all the supplies and items I will need for the next six months... except food. I save a shitload doing this. Coffee, detergent, car supplies.....

I make all major purchases, if possible, in the northern state.

A 10.5 sales tax is just too much. So I shop around.
