The `bin` and `sbin` merge in Fedora is interesting. I didn’t even know that the duplicate root level directories had already been merged into their `/usr` equivalents. The short version is all commands and static software files go under `/usr` now. All commands other than games go in `/usr/bin`. The root level symlinks may stick around forever, but we should all start using `/usr` exclusively. The `bin` and `sbin` merge is starting with Fedora, but other distros will probably follow like they did with the `/usr` merge.
