The Jacobin left from the French revolution became the template for leftism since, which is why the term has at least some use. Maybe a better word will emerge which will make it easier to convey what they are, and therefore easier to defeat them. I get your dissatisfaction with the term. There are three fundamental facts about the left which ought to be widely known: 1) **They are delusional.** They may be tactically astute, which really boils down to having an instinctive ability to manipulate, and a cynical willingness to do what normal people find morally abhorrent, but fundamentally, they have no understanding of reality. 2) **They have no moral restraint.** They want to destroy the world, not live in it. 3) **Their ideas don't work.** Everything they do makes existence shittier. Every time they held power, it has been a disaster. Leftism is shit.
