Right. But the point of learning a trade is to set up your own business and do work for customers. I can't get a "loicence" until I finish an apprenticeship. Yes, you get paid, but it's not exactly a large amount. Not enough to care for a family that's for sure. I'm just bitter because I want to do something that is skill dependant rather than time dependant. IE, I can cram all the requirements necessary in a year or so. With a trade, it doesn't matter how well I do in theory, or the projects/work under my belt, it all comes down to how long I've been doing it.
