Good news story of the day!

I just realized if he refused to sell over state lines, none of his troubles would be happeneing.

Are you sure, the scotus pulled the congressional interstate clause on a farmer who was growing his own feed and selling his own milk to only people in his state and he got shut down.

The reason, he was effecting “interstate commence”, his crops could’ve been sold to others and he was taking money away from other farmers who sold milk “legally” in other states.

Yep, see Wickard v. Filburn 1942. It is totally bullshit and basically gives the Feds license to regulate whatever they want.

@Aukxsona

that has to be the jewiest reasoning i can think of, thats like banning cars because one might be used to kill somoene ... oh wait, jews already do this for guns

[–] [deleted] 3 pts

maybe the bulk of his customers were from inter-state?

[–] 2 pts

That shouldn’t matter, he’s not traveling people are. It’s a stupid clause.

Wickard v. Filburn 1942 gave congress unlimited power.

The fact that this went to court shows we are under attack by something evil

Sounds to me like the quarter club needs to be put in place.

You pay $0.25 to join a private club, and you can buy anything you want from the club. It's not like you can just walk in and buy something, this is a private club, Amos!

I dig. Guaranteed freedom of association

I think some of the bars around here did that when anti-smoking laws got really restrictive. You pay $1.00 to join the "club," you get a card and $1.00 credit on your first purchase. Something stupid like that.

Private clubs can allow smoking because it's not public anymore.

Yep. Also could sell alcohol on Sundays when that was a law around here. Easier to have gambling in there too because they knew every customer.

Edit: Also, that $1 application fee usually is an agreement to a background check as well. That, combined with skin color, is how the private bars keep the bullshit out.

Basically, if you want the old style "Cheers" bar atmosphere, find a white owned private bar. They still exist all over the place. You just have to find them through word of mouth.

Luckily I have 2 right next to my house. Both are owned by local farmers that are understandably fed up with government overreach.

I know a bar owner that did that in Washington state and made the second floor a club that allowed smoking but I think he lost his fight in the end.

I need to join a club like the orioles. Few guys I work with there. Last place I could smoke inside was a party at a firehouse. You smoke bird?

NO NIGGERS CLUB

What you do is publicly call it the Classical music and math club.

The Amish are kinda based.

[–] 4 pts

I dig. Amish are less than an hour from me, sometimes work with them as contractors. May have to convert. They took my great grandfather in when he became an orphan

Perfect illustration of the state's constant drive to dominate the individual. Go Amos!

This is wonderful news - and it's good to see an attorney step up to the plate who's willing to fight the injustices. Also, thanks to the people here who supported Miller in his case.

Thanks for posting this. I have donated to the cause…links in the article

They'll try going after him for tax evasion next
