Trump's never ending poor choice of phrasing doesn't negate the fact that in this case *he was correct*. He should have just said kids have a *superior tolerance* for the bug. He, for some reason, can't speak without throwing in his person opinions, poorly phrased at that, even when his point is correct, he often makes himself sound dumb, at least when it comes to medical science.
