im visiting nebraska for the first time and i gotta tell you, its awesome over here. never worried about people snatching my child, never any language barriers between me and other parents at the park. everyone is chatty and polite in the small town way. the children are all very polite and kind to my child. parents are shaking my hand and saying hello. i feel like a real human over here. i thought "great white north" meant snow, but it actually means that 99% of the population is white, and it shows. nice parks, nice facilities, people laughing and joking without a care with strangers in the stores. its wild

Should be both.

it is, i just never really thought about the phrase before, anytime i heard it it was in one ear out the other since i thought i would never be relevant to me

That's good, also the nickname "Great White North" is usually associated with Canada and not the yankee states.
