A 46-year-old man won a New York women’s cycling event on Sunday, just a week after a 35-time winner on the women’s national cyclocross circuit revealed that she had retired after finishing in fourth place between two men in third and fifth places.

Last week, in an amicus brief filed with the Supreme Court to support the state of West Virginia and its Save Women’s Sports law, cyclist Hannah Arensmen wrote, “Over the past few years, I have had to race directly with male cyclists in women’s events. As this has become more of a reality, it has become increasingly discouraging to train as hard as I do only to have to lose to a man with the unfair advantage of an androgenized body that intrinsically gives him an obvious advantage over me, no matter how hard I train.”

All my life I've been told that a woman can do anything a man can do and can often do it better than a man. So, what's the problem? Why are sports even still separated by male and female? Can't we all just get along...

You know as well as I do that women don't want actual equality. They want the benefits of it without the responsibilities.

Why are sports even still separated by male and female?

I would advocate for two options; 1. Fully co-ed sports across all levels 2. Three distinct categories; male, female, and co-ed

Let the chips fall where they may in either case.

No, women need to be forced to admit that they are not equal to men...

No, women need to be forced to admit that they are not equal to men...

Both of those scenarios would result in that happening.

Scenario 1: Women get crushed my men, proving they're not as good. Scenario 2: Men dominate in the co-ed and male-only leagues. Women can only 'win' against other women. Once again proving that women can not compete if all things are equal. What's the matter, sugar britches? You afraid to compete against the boys? I thought you were equal...
