Given the rampancy of hedonism encouraged by baby boomers that entered into the military, I'm left in agreement with you. However, given the observations one can make generally of conservatism, it's impossible to not conclude that conservatives are ideologically and politically indistinct from liberals. In fact, the only observable difference between either group is the enthusiasm to which they seek out to achieve their goals. Therefore anyone who is anti-liberal, must be anti-conservative. This leaves only one ideological alignment they can pursue, which is nationalism and for Americans this means Christian nationalism regardless of the risks of public denigration.
